Shields Library Reduced Hours Starting Today, May 2
Update as of Thursday, May 4 at 4 p.m.
- The 24-Hour Study Room has reopened.
- The rest of Shields Library will operate with the reduced hours listed below through the weekend. We will resume normal hours on Monday, May 8.
Starting today, Tuesday, May 2, Shields Library will implement a temporary reduction in library hours. Consistent with other changes being implemented by campus, Shields Library will close at 8 p.m. this evening. The 24-Hour Study Room will also be closed after 8 p.m.
Both the 24-Hour Study Room and the main library entrance will reopen at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
Our reduced hours, for the main library entrance and the 24-Hour Study Room, will be:
- Monday through Friday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Shields will continue operating with reduced hours through Monday, May 8 unless a change in the current circumstances indicates that we can safely resume normal library hours.
We will continue to assess the situation daily in coordination with the rest of the campus, and look forward to returning to regular library hours as soon as we can do so safely. For the latest details on library hours, always refer to library.ucdavis.edu/hours.
