Look Familiar???

This week’s photograph captures an uncommon moment in Davis’ weather history and for some may act as as a trigger for memories of snow days in Davis.  What we have is a photograph from the University Archives of a woman and young child admiring the ducks on a cold winter’s day.  In fact it’s soo cold that there is snow on the ground and possibly part of the creek is frozen!  This fact alone gives some definitive possibilities as to the year as it rarely snows in Davis.  The chances are high that this was taken along Putah Creek in the arboretum as one will often be greeted by ducks while walking along the paths.  So what is there to identify you ask?  Well first off there is the question of when the photograph was taken.  Next could be where in the arboretum are they?  And for fun what are some of your own memories of experiencing it snow in Davis?
