Library research travel grants for 2026

$2,500 grants to support use of UC Davis distinctive collections

We are pleased to offer grants to support travel costs for scholars interested in using our distinctive collections in Archives and Special Collections and/or our Food and Wine collections.

The UC Davis Library intends to award four grants of $2,500 each to be used in 2026. Applications are due October 30, 2025.

Recipients will have direct access to the resources and collections of the UC Davis Library, including our world-class collections on food and wine; the University Archives, which preserve the history of UC Davis; strong collections on agricultural technology, political movements and radical pamphlets, 19th-century British poetry, theater history, history of natural sciences, and nature writing; as well as the Michael and Margaret B. Harrison Western Research Center Collection on the Trans-Mississippi West.

Interested scholars should visit our research travel grants webpage to learn about eligibility, requirements, and application guidelines, and apply by the October 30, 2025 deadline. Grant recipients will be notified by December 1, 2025.
