Faculty & Instructors Invited to Apply to AggieOpen Fellows Program
Funding and project development support for OER use in the classroom
Apply by Sunday, March 16
We encourage potential applicants to contact the AggieOpen team for assistance in project development prior to the deadline.
The UC Davis Library is now accepting faculty and instructor applications for the 2025 AggieOpen Fellows program, which provides support to adopt or adapt openly licensed, freely accessible course materials—known as open educational resources (OER)— for use in undergraduate courses.
Participants receive funding awards ranging from $2,000 to $7,500, and project development assistance.
The AggieOpen Fellows program champions the use of OER as an alternative to traditional, commercially published textbooks for undergraduate courses. The program, launched as a pilot initiative in 2023, is part of the library’s commitment to expanding the availability of openly licensed course materials at minimal cost for the benefit of both UC Davis students locally and higher education globally.
Learn more and apply by Sunday, March 16. We recommend contacting the AggieOpen team for assistance in project development prior to applying. Awards will be announced by April 9.
