Over 10,000 volumes held at UC Davis.

History of this Collection

Purchased by the University of California from the estate of C.K. Ogden in 1958, and divided between the UC campuses. UC Davis received some 10,000 books from the C. K. Ogden Collection, a portion of which were absorbed into the Richard Blanchard Rare Book Collection

Overview/Highlights of Collection

Particularly rich in literature, especially English Literature. One high point from the Ogden collection is UC Davis’s copy of the Second Folio of William Shakespeare (1632).
