Got Kids? Shields Library Now Has Activity Kits Available to Keep Them Busy While You Work
We understand that for student and faculty parents, sometimes the reality is that the kids need to come along while you’re getting research or studying done at the library.
In addition to a small collection of children’s books and a larger collection of graphic novels — both on the fourth floor of Shields Library — we now offer Kids Activity Kits for checkout from the Circulation Desk for use while you are working in the library.
The kits include a variety of activities for various ages, from toddler/preschool through elementary school:
- Fidget toys
- Puzzles that teach numbers and colors
- Puppets
- Toy trucks
- Coloring sheets and colored pencils
- Picture books and early chapter books
To check out a kit, please go to the Shields Library Circulation Desk and ask for a Kids Activity Kit. You will need your student or employee Aggie ID in order to check out a kit, just as you would when checking out a book.
To make them available to as many families as possible, kits are available for 4 hours at a time, and should not be taken out of the library.
