Shields Library is closed through January 1. Requests for books, digitization services, and interlibrary loan will be fulfilled after the new year.
Tea Meditations are back, now hybrid!
New 15 minute tea meditations are back on Tuesdays at 9:30AM and now not just available via Zoom, but also hybrid! These sessions are designed to create a helpful self-care practice that only takes a few minutes out of your day. This project was developed collaboratively by a therapist, a mindfulness educator and student with a Buddhist background. If you enjoy tea, this may be your bowl! Designed to be accessible, all you need is hot water, tea and a bowl. Mugs are OK, but bowls add a level of tangibility quite different. We have self-guided meditations and resources here
If you would like to drop in, just come by the rear of the now closed Carlson library where there is an almost hidden amphitheatre space (see above). Erik will have some spare bowls, tea and hot water so all you need to do is bring something to sit on (or just sit on the grass). Sessions run through the rest of the year.

Special thanks to the Global Tea Initiative and Veterinary School’s Career, Leadership & Wellness Center for their support and input on this project.
