Picnic Day Preview: Parade, Scavenger Hunt, Storytime and More!
Join us at Shields Library for our annual Picnic Day Open House from 11am-2pm on Saturday, April 13th. This year, we have new activities and exhibits – plus Special Collections will be marching in the parade!
In the Parade
See our University Archives come to life through historical costumes from Picnic Days of earlier decades, starting with the first one in 1909. The parade starts at 10:15 at North Quad Ave across from Wickson Hall. After the parade, grab a free cookie at Shields while they last and check out our activities below!
Children’s Storytime
► English Professor Frances Dolan will read picture books for young children in the Shields Library Courtyard at 11:15, 12:15 and 1:15.
