Plan Ahead! Additional 24-hour Study Space at Shields for 2018 Winter Finals
Once again, the UC Davis Library will be opening up new sections of the Peter J. Shields Library for 24 hours for several days during the 2018 Winter final exam week.
Library staff will open a contained and securable part of Shields – the Main Reading Room study area – for 24 hours a day from Sunday, Mar. 18 to Wednesday, Mar. 21, 2018.
The Main Reading Room study area will be patrolled by security for student safety. Entrance to the additional space will be through the 24-hour Study Room entrance located on the north side of Shields, directly across from the Quad. The space will be available to registered students only. Students must have their Aggie card to enter.
This new service is being done on a trial basis and library staff will be evaluating whether to continue the program.
As another way to help UC Davis students with their studies, the UC Davis Library has partnered with the CoHo yet again to bring coffee service to the Peter J. Shields Library during finals. The service includes coffee, tea, packaged baked goods, kind bars, and fresh fruit.
Specifically, services will be available:
Mar. 16 to 18 from 5 to 10 p.m.
Mar. 19 to 22 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
