Gerome says “Come to California!”
This week Gerome is highlighting our California Collection. The collection contains nearly 3,000 pamphlets, brochures, flyers, and smaller sized books from various California cities and counties documenting events which played a role in the formation of the West. Also included is a group of late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries items reflecting the boosterism in various California counties with an emphasis on tourism, irrigation, real estate investment, agriculture, and the growth and lure of cities and counties.
