Blaisdell Medical Library Hosts Traveling Exhibit from the National Library of Medicine
'Making a World of Difference' highlights global health, accessible healthcare
A new traveling exhibit from the National Library of Medicine has landed at Blaisdell Medical Library: Making a World of Difference: Stories about Global Health.

Open to the UC Davis Health community, the exhibit explores stories of healthcare professionals working to break down barriers to medical care faced by many around the world due to lack of social infrastructure, natural disasters, war, environmental pollution, and other issues.
“Global health is rooted in the understanding that health equity anywhere strengthens health everywhere. At UC Davis, our work in global health is grounded in education, innovation and sustainable partnerships that build local capacity and resilience. Through collaboration across borders and disciplines, we strive to improve health for all while training the next generation of clinicians and leaders committed to global health equity.”
— N. Shakira Bandolin, M.D., Director of Global Health, Center for Global Health, UC Davis Health
The UC Davis Center for Global Health offers collaboration with global partners to meet healthcare needs nearby, as well as educational opportunities for medical students, fellows and residents.
