Qian has extensive experience in the social sciences and international studies disciplines. She is eager to collaborate with faculty and students on research projects, and welcomes inquiries on how she can support your academic and research needs. She provides outreach services, reference and research consultation, guidance on collection development and management, and instruction.
Prior to joining UC Davis, Qian was an affiliated faculty member and has over twenty years of academic teaching experience. She has organized many workshops, exhibitions, and events to promote active student learning and to support academic success. Her library and information science projects include digital archival projects, information literacy tutorial series, and international exchanges. Qian has a master’s degree in library and information science and a Ph.D. in East Asian Languages and Civilizations.
