Project Description

Hevener’s literature review discusses the adverse health effects of maternal obesity on mothers and fetuses during pregnancy and later life. She identifies the connections between obesity and multiple health issues, including cardiovascular and respiratory disorders, diabetes and cancer. Hevener concludes with a call to action focused on obesity prevention, rather than individual weight loss during pregnancy.
