Surviving the Cold: How Circumpolar Peoples Have Adapted to the Extreme Conditions of the Arctic
Research paper for ENT 199: Human Hibernation Writing Project — Special Study for Advanced Undergraduates
Project Description
Vo synthesizes the current literature on how circumpolar peoples — from Neanderthals to modern Inuit communities — have adapted biologically and culturally to survive extreme cold. Vo’s analysis, which draws on 35 primary and secondary sources, lays a foundation for future research on the potential for human hibernation.
