Project Description

Miyadi’s “urban transect” project reveals the history and development of Davis by delving into the context, past and present, of six evenly-spaced locations along Russell Boulevard and 5th Street. Miyadi tapped into a wide range of library resources, from maps and aerial photographs to historical archives about the City of Davis, in combination with observations, original sketches and first-person interviews, to document the history and changing landscape of Davis.
