Taped interviews with northwestern Californian Native Americans concerning government programs and the treatment of Native Americans, as well as stories and songs reflecting various Native American cultures. Quinn was a Berkeley businessman and involved with the American Friends Service Committee group working to help local Native Americans. Between the late 1940's and the early 1960's, he toured northwestern California and taped the music of the Hupa, Karuk, and Yurok tribes, among others.
