The Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science (RMI) opened in 2008, funded by a 2001 gift from Robert Mondavi. The RMI is home to the Department of Viticulture and Enology, the Department of Food Science and Technology, the Olive Center, the Honey & Pollination Center, and the Center for Wine Economics.
