Aggie Gold: Celebrating Babe Slater at the 2024 Olympics

Colby E. “Babe” Slater was a 1917 graduate of the University Farm School (now UC Davis). An outstanding athlete, Slater played on the gold medal-winning U.S. Olympic Rugby Team in 1920 (Antwerp) and in 1924 (Paris). This exhibit celebrates the centennial of his gold medal win in 1924 in Paris, when he served as team captain.
