Collection Strategies
What We Do
Collection Strategies builds, manages and assesses the UC Davis research collections using evidence-based practices towards achieving the goals of our strategic plan and fulfilling our library mission to meet the research, teaching, learning and patient care needs of the UC Davis community of students, scholars and researchers.
In addition to local collection practices, our team works in collaboration with the UC Library system to achieve greater reaching collection building and practices.
In all of these endeavors we are committed to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Donating Materials to the Library
The UC Davis Library appreciates offers of donations of materials that will enrich existing collections and support the teaching, research, and patient care mission of the university. Please refer to our Guidelines for Gifts to review our policies for accepting donations of books, journals or other materials.
