Borrow and Request

Get the research materials you need
Your library account affords you a variety of borrowing privileges and access to research materials worldwide. We also loan equipment for use in the library, including calculators, whiteboards and chargers, so you can keep your study or research momentum going while you’re here.
Anyone may apply for an account at the UC Davis library. We offer courtesy and fee-based library account types, depending on your affiliation status.

Borrow, don’t buy! Get your course materials at the library.
Getting materials from UC Davis or another library is easy. You can also request scans of articles, ship library materials to your home (for free!), or suggest a purchase to add to our collections.
We offer a variety of tools and study aids for check out and use in the library: charging lockers, battery packs, whiteboards, headphones, calculators and more.
The UC Davis Library is committed to providing equal access to disabled users as articulated in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Users with disability-related needs are encouraged to request accommodations.
Library services are available for UC Davis faculty, staff, and graduate students who are working at sites beyond the Davis/Sacramento area.
