This scrapbook documents the trip of a husband and wife in 1960, starting in Lakeland, Florida, on June 16th, 1960, and ending back in Lakeland nearly two months later on August 9th. While some of the pages of the scrapbook focus on states through which they passed, like Louisiana or Indiana, the majority of the pages focus on southwestern or western states, like Arizona and California, or western-themed locations like Dodge City, Kansas. This album is filled with snapshot photos (157), postcards (217), newspaper clippings (35), booklets, brochures and souvenir publications (54), tickets, receipts, napkins, coasters and other scrapbook denizens (52) as well as the handwritten notations by one of the travelers on nearly every page.
