Accessing Resources with Single Sign-on
Some library resources can be accessed using your Kerberos (CAS) ID while off campus
Some UC Davis Library resources are limited to the university network, such as paid journal and newspaper subscriptions, library databases, streaming media services, and educational and clinical apps. To access these resources while off campus, you would typically need to connect to the library VPN, so the resource vendors know you are affiliated with UC Davis.
The UC Davis Library works with vendors that support single sign-on to allow you to use just your UC Davis Kerberos (CAS) Login ID and password to access their resources. These vendors use Shibboleth as an alternative method for authentication.
