The Beaulieu Vineyard Records document the history of the winery as well as personnel and family histories related to the vineyard and winery. Georges and Fernande de Latour founded Beaulieu Vineyard in the Napa Valley in 1900. During Prohibition, de Latour sustained BV’s wine production and sales by producing sacramental wines. Enologist André Tchelistcheff (1901-1994) arrived at BV in 1938 as the new winemaker. Under Tchelistcheff, BV continued to earn international recognition as a highly respected winery especially for California cabernet wines. This manuscript collection contains business records, marketing materials, correspondence, wine labels and menus, architectural records, news clippings, and photographs.
