Library Account and Card Expectations

A valid UC Davis Library account is required to borrow and renew materials and to place recalls or requests.

• Borrowers should present their library card when conducting library transactions.
  • If unable to present their library card, a borrower may verify their identity using OASIS (students), UC Path (employees), or by presenting a valid government-issued photo ID.
  • If a borrower does not yet have a library card, or it has been lost or stolen, Circulation Desk staff will create a card for them.
• Borrowers should immediately report lost or stolen library cards to the library.
• Library privileges are not transferable. Only the individual named on a library account can use it.
• Abuse of library privileges may result in loss of borrowing privileges. See Conduct Policies for more information.
