Archives and Special Collections: Our Work, Our Collections, Our Impact

What is the oldest item in your collection? Do I need to wear gloves when I handle rare books? These are just two of the questions answered by this exhibit, which focuses on the public services and behind-the-scenes work of the library’s Archives and Special Collections department. Featuring some of the most remarkable items in the collection, the six cases of this exhibit walk the visitor through the what, how, and why of stewarding the library’s rare books, manuscript collections, historical photographs, rare audiovisual recordings, and the University Archives.
